Fees & questions

How sessions work

Kept clear and simple, so the work itself can be the focus.

Fees

Sessions are £70 and last 50 minutes. We meet weekly, at a regular time that becomes yours.

If you need to cancel or rearrange, I ask for 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full, as the time is held for you.

Format
In person in Central London and Croydon, online across the UK, and home visits* in selected areas.
The work
Depth-oriented, focused on change that lasts, reviewed together regularly.
First call
We start with a free first conversation, around 15 minutes, to sense whether working together feels right. No pressure, and nothing to prepare.

Questions

Common questions

How many sessions will it take?

It depends on what you bring and what you are hoping for. Research on therapy outcomes suggests many people notice meaningful change within the first eight to twenty sessions, while longer-standing relational patterns, the kind this work often focuses on, tend to soften over a longer, open-ended course. We review how things are going together, regularly, and you are never tied in.

How long is each session?

Fifty minutes.

What does it cost?

£70 per session.

Do you offer reduced fees?

A small number of concession spaces are sometimes available. If cost is the thing standing in your way, get in touch and we can talk it through.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

Pluralistic and integrative. I am trained in humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and I draw on whichever of these genuinely helps you, rather than forcing one method onto your experience.

Do I need to be a South Asian man to work with you?

No. South Asian men are my focus, and the subject of my research. But the things I work with, closeness that feels hard, shame, identity, living between cultures, the weight of who you were raised to be, aren't unique to any one group. I work with adults of all backgrounds and genders who recognise themselves in this. If the way I work speaks to you, that matters more than whether you fit the focus, so please do get in touch.

Home visits*

For a small number of clients, I offer sessions at home within selected postcodes. These run on one day each week, with two appointments available, at £150 per session.

Home visits suit clients who have a private room where we will not be interrupted. The same confidentiality and steadiness apply as in the clinic, so a quiet, uninterrupted space matters. If that is not possible at home, clinic or online sessions are the better choice.
